Backburner

Backburner was created for the 2025 GMTK Jam, and explores "Loop" as both mechanic and metaphor as you wind your fireman's hose through fire and debris.

Inspiration was taken from spatial reasoning puzzle games, and from the childhood rite of passage of putting kinks in garden-hoses.

The cross-section includes four levels of increasing complexity. For accessibility, levels are instantly resettable, and can also be skipped (See controls).
