Recursive Cartography, a brief introduction
Define Recursive Cartography:
See: Recursive Cartography.
An infinite tower to survey is no small task, even for a master cartographer. Craft your path through recursively connected floors.
Solve fiendishly difficult puzzles designed for analytical thinkers and ascend to freedom through 7 levels. Your success is statistically improbable.
FAQ
What do I do if I receive an error trying to launch?
Please let me know. Due to limitations in itch.io I had to host externally, so it is possible I will hit a bandwidth quota at some point in time during the review process
Why this subject matter?
Created for the GMTK2021 jam theme 'Joined Together', this game explores a connection on two levels:
(1) "Gluing" together map fragments to traverse through an infinite tower, and
(2) Uncovering the intrinsic recursive connections that bind floors together
In both cases, the player also experiences the fragility of theses connections, as entire floors of the tower are wiped from the player's cartographical canon.
Can I get that sweet sweet source code?

Ooh, very nice. Was Recursed (2016) an inspiration for this?
Thanks for your feedback. When I made this I had very recently played "Carto"--its Story Chatlet was the biggest inspiration. That having been said, Recursed holds a place in my steam library, so no doubt it has an impact on my decisions even if not the game I meant to pay homage to.
Much less difficult than you think. Still, fun!!!
Great Game, Really fun.
Really a great puzzle game. With more levels it could easly be released as a full game.
Great idea and great execution!
